Tired, cold, hungry, lost and once again… Out of petrol
Waiting for the supporting car that’s trying to find petrol as well…

Deixamos Jindabyne hoja as 11 hs da manha que foi um pouco tarde do previsto e comecamos a nossa jornada para Melbourne.

Depois de 600 kms cumpridos e 12 horas em cima das nossas motocas, consiguimos finalmente chegar ao nosso destino seguros e salvos por voltas das 10:00 da noite.

Foi o dia mais desgastante tanto para nos quanto para as scooters. A tensao aumenta bastante dirigindo por varias horas seguidas somada com as adversidades naturais do tipo, vento e tempuratura. Outro fator agravante e o movimento de caminhoes trucados, tremihoes e a quatindade de animais na rodovia.

Depois desse teste dificil o que ja estava agendado para o dia seguinte, foi levar para o salao de beleza as nossas namoradas. Foi a primeira revisao com mais de 1000 kms na loja da Yamaha. Sao novinhas mas ja tem 1500 kms de asfalto.

Cleber que e um grande amigo de Sydney, e que se mudou para Melbourne a sete meses atras aproximadamente e vai se casar em breve tem sido nosso anfitriao e tem suportado nossa bagunca na residencia que estava um brinco antes de chegarmos.

Nos acomodou muito bem juntamente com seu flatmate Alfi, que tem uma voz maravilhosa. Alfi resolveu da um tempo pra cabeca, saindo fora dos Estados Unidos sua terra natal pra conhecer lugares novos e tentar sua carrera de cantor.

We left Jindabyne at 11h in the morning (late) and start making our way to Melbourne.

After long hours and a long way to Melbourne, 600 km and almost 12h on the road we managed to get here safe and sane…10h + at night.

Today was a tough test for us as well as for the bikes. The first of them.
Riding this many hours increases the tension on us cause we have to ride during the night which is already a bit dangerous by itself, the cross wind, the trucks and the animals crossing the road, but as I said we’re here safe and intact.

We have the first bike service booked for tomorrow morning, the first 1000 km service.

The 2 little ones are 2 weeks old and have already 1500 km on the odometer…hahaha

Cleber our friend from Sydney, who is living in Melbourne now and will be getting married pretty soon is hosting and standing us and all the mess that comes on the side.

He’s been an angel to us and so has his flatmate Alfie, an American singer, who is having a getaway from the US to find his peace of mind and his path with his career.

Pela segunda vez no dia estamos parando no meio do caminho para reabastecer as scooters.

Ja estamos pensando no trecho do deserto. Sorte que planejamos isso antes e compramos os tanques de reserva.

A viagem tem sido demais, montanhas, neve, florestas, rios e freeways.

Melbourne here we go…

For the second time today we’re stopping to refuel the scooter on the road.

Already wondering how the Outback section of this trip i gonna be.

Luckily we planned this beforehand.

The ride is being great, we went through mountains, snow, forest, rivers and freeways.

Marcando -4 nos termometros. Foi duro sair da barraca.

We’re almost ready to hit the snowy mountains, with our bums.
-4 degrees at the moment. It was really tough to leave the tents and face this weather.
Just wondering how its going to be tomorrow morning on the road

As usual we got up late, had to finish packing everything, put things away and organize the “cage” with the equipments and stuff.

We had a quick brekky started putting ideas on the paper so we could put those on the internet later on.

After that we said a quick goodbye to the guys at the YHA reception, whom were really friendly and helpful to us and made our way to the Parliament House.

There we took some nice pics and did some shooting with Joca as our Art Director.

After a long, cold and wet ride we finally got to Canberra around 10 o’clock at night.

As we had already booked a place to stay we head to it straight away. Our destiny YHA Canberra

The backpacker was our reward, it really made our day.

They provided us a family room, a double bed and 4 other single beds.
As me and Alex were dead on our feet, the double bed was going to be for one of us. But who?

We decided it with scissor, rock and paper. Unfortunately to me, Alex won.

The single bed wasn’t bad though, we had a good night of sleep and prepared ourselves to face the cold weather on our way to Jindabyne.

Fala Galera, estamos aqui sentados em um cafe em Wollongong depois do almoço e de um cochilo rapido. Tivemos uma noite longa empacotando tudo para a viagem e fomos dormir 5h30 da manha.

Agora em direção a Canberra, a capital do país.

Estamos a 3h de lá. Vamos chegar la umas 6h da tarde.

Estamos presos numa cidadezinha no meio do caminho, o esperto do Alex conseguiu derrubar a chave da moto dentro do banco e fecha-lo logo em seguida.

O chaveiro está aqui tentando nos ajudar.

Hi everyone, we’re now sitting in a cafe in Wollongong after having lunch and a quick nap. We all had a long night packing everything, we went to bed 5h30 in the morning.

Now heading to Canberra. 3h away from here. Might be getting there around 6pm.
